Natixis Partners Iberia advised Global Energy Services (GES) on the acquisition of WKA-Service Fehmarn, a Germany-based company engaged in providing maintenance and repair services to the wind turbines of turbine manufacturers.
GES is a world leader in the construction, assembly and maintenance of wind and solar generation installations. In 2006, the private equity firm 3i became shareholder of GES with the aim supporting the company in its action plan to become the global market leader in construction and services for the renewable energy industry.
This transaction, which has the support of 3i and is in line with the company’s plan, enables GES to offer a wider range of services to its clients and also expands the company’s presence in the European market.
